James Monks will be Mayor of Teague again.
Monks, who lost to current Mayor David Huffman in 2022, defeated Jack "Butch" Hansel for the Mayor seat. Huffman did not seek re-election.
Monks received 111 votes to Hansel's 77. The Mayor position was the only contested race in this election.
Ron Rasbeary and Rhonda Jones each ran unopposed for city council alderman places 1 and 3, respectively. Incumbents Garlan Steed (Place 1) and Lois Mims (Place 3) did not seek re-election.
