I’m so glad it is summer, but that doesn’t mean it slows down. It is still busy. I have already attended a workshop and have several more conferences and a book to read this summer.
The 2024 Freestone County Fair is next week. I am so excited to take pictures and watch the youngsters show. The parade will be held on Monday night, June 10, at 7 p.m. The children’s pageant will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, and the Miss Freestone County Pageant will be held on Tuesday night, June 11, at 7 p.m. Make sure you checkout the facebook page for The Fairfield Recorder and The Teague Chronicle for pictures throughout the week.
A special section will be printed afterwards as well so make sure to get a copy.
The Teague Rodeo is right around the corner as well. The 94th annual Teague Fourth of July Rodeo will be held July 4-6. Make plans to come out to the rodeo. A parade will be held on Thursday, July 4, to kick off the rodeo weekend.
This week’s Bible verse is 2 Timothy 4:17. It says, “But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth.”
We all will have good times in life and some days will be difficult and we will have to overcome trials and heartaches. However, the Lord promises to always be there with us and give us the strength that we need.
My prayer for us this week is that we will always lean on the strength of the Lord in the good times and even the bad times. Until next week, make Him famous in all that you do!
