Katy attended a workshop for four days this past week and I am at a workshop for four days this week for school. It never slows down. We will have a couple of weeks to relax before school starts, but we have to get our classrooms in order as well.
I’m so proud of Katy. She will be teaching kindergarten at Teague Elementary School this fall. We have been busy gathering things and organizing her classroom. She is going to be such a blessing to her kiddos.
It is hard to believe that summer is coming to an end already. There are only a couple more weeks left until school starts back up. Summer sure did fly by way too fast this year.
The Fuzzy Peach Festival will be held on Friday night and Saturday at the Freestone County Courthouse.. Make sure to come out for the fun happening this weekend.
I just love living in Freestone County. It is such a blessing that there is so much to do in the area. I love covering a lot of the events in Freestone, Limestone, and Leon Counties.
This week’s Bible verse is Romans 12:1-2. It says, “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
This world has some great things in it, but nothing that will satisfy us for eternity. We do not need to live for the things of this world, but do all that we can to become more Christ-like daily. What truly matters is our relationship with Him. When we pass away from this earth, we can’t take any of our belongings with us.
My prayer for us this week is that we will always turn to God and not the things of this world. Until next week, make him famous in all that you do!
