The Freestone County Game Management Association (FCGMA) hosted its annual Back the Blue Banquet on Saturday night, Aug. 24 at the Twisted Vines Event Center to show its appreciation to local law enforcement officers.
Local law enforcement officers competed in a target shooting contest. When all was said and done, DPS Trooper Corporal Bubba Carter came out with the bragging rights as the winner. Game Warden John Thorne grabbed second place and Constable Richard McGowan third place.
Law enforcement officers and their families enjoyed steaks, baked potatoes, salad, and dessert provided by Twisted Vines, Texas Towing, and FCGMA.
