Commissioners learn details of FEMA requirements for damage reimbursement

FEMA program delivery manager James Ross conducted a meeting with Freestone County Commissioners during the Tuesday, Aug. 20, specially called Commissioners Court meeting, going over many details of requirements for getting the county reimbursement for damages that happened during the extended weather event from April 26 to June 5.

FEMA program delivery manager James Ross conducted a meeting with Freestone County Commissioners during the Tuesday, Aug. 20, specially called Commissioners Court meeting, going over many details of requirements for getting the county reimbursement for damages that happened during the extended weather event from April 26 to June 5.

Two other items were also on the agenda: consideration of the burn ban, which had only been on since the previous Wednesday, Aug. 14, and remains in effect; and an executive session on a personnel matter.

As for what was called the Recovery Scoping Meeting, Ross had other officials online through Zoom to ask questions of the commissioners.
