The Teague ISD Board of Trustees voted to decrease the 2024-2025 tax rate by 15 cents at its monthly meeting Tuesday, Aug, 27.
The new tax rate was set at $0.70841. This rate is figured by $0.66920 for Maintenance and Operations set by the Texas Education Agency and $0.03921 for Interest and Sinking set by TISD.
According to Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations Emily Evans, the district’s bonds will be paid off in February 2025.
