OBSERVANCES

Bugs Bunny used to ask Elmer Fudd “what’s up doc”. The question is, why do things seem so out of control when in our mind, it did not used to be. I will offer two theories on this that when combined create dissatisfaction with life on a massive scale.

The first is the complete demise of the greatest generation that lived through the depression and WWII and the rapid dwindling of their offspring, the baby boom generation that in some ways are still their parent’s echo. Whenever I think of doing something I can still feel my father’s influence as to whether I should do it. Their influence was like the ballast in a ship that will rock with the waves, but the ballast causes it to return to equilibrium. The ballast is now gone around the world.
