Alaina Baker received the Kindness from Case belt buckle at the 2024 Freestone County Fair. This is the fifth year that the buckle has been given out.
The Kindness for Case belt buckle goes to a kid who goes out of their way to be helpful and kind. The recipient of the buckle is chosen by the fair board. They chose an exhibitor who has been seen helping others, doing behind the scenes extra hard work, or maybe lifting up someone who’s having a bad day.
“It’s exciting for us because we love to be able to recognize and encourage kids for just being a good person,” Hays said. “It doesn’t matter if you make the sale, if you get first in your class, last in your class, or if you’re Grand Champion - everyone has a chance to help others and everyone has a chance to win.”
