This week will see the decision of the people for the direction and pur-pose of our government in what most citizens pray will be a real cor-rection from the plainly failed current and past administrations. They are in fact, the same administration warmed over for too many years.
Last week’s edition of this paper included another highfog content Let-ter to the Editor filled with errors and disinformation too numerous to list here; the first erroneous statement about date of the Declaration of Independence (1776) is a case in point. The fact is that Thomas Jeffer-son wrote and edited the document in 1775 after the actual opening of hostilities at Concord and Lexington, Mass. He revised and modified it before submitting it to the Continental Congress later that year where, after many further edits, it was adopted the following year. A minor point, but telling. The rest of the writer’s “points of interest” in deni-grating Mr. Trump are as usual full of fuzzy, vague, and arguably disin-formation. The issue TODAY COULD NOT BE MORE SIMPLE: we stay the course of leftist failed government, or we get the ox out of the ditch and fix America. It’s one or the other.
Ms. Harris and the ultra- left that have hijacked the old Democratic Par-ty now stand for things most mainstream Americans find offensive; to wit: 1. Tax-payer funded sex change surgery for felons 2. Expectation that fewer police will mean less crime.
3. The 1619 Project that states thatAmerica was founded on slavery 4. Decriminalizing theft under $750
5. Decriminalizing border crossings – wide open borders 6. Boys competing in girls’ sports 7. Sex and gender as a choice instead of actual physiology 8. A feeble, weak foreign policy; a stingy approach for friends 9. Higher taxes, meaning more inflation 10. More and more government control of our lives These positions are nuts, and they are the platform of the democratic party this year.
I pray Mr. Trump and the Congress will right our ship of state. I will have done my part Tuesday to help.
