Hunter Fulmer, a senior at Teague High School, is heading to the Texas Music Educators Association Convention in February 2025 to perform in the Association of Texas Small School Bands All-State Band.
Fulmer placed first overall out of 38 students at the ATSSB Area Jazz Contest at China Spring High School and is the first ever Teague High School jazz band student to qualify for state.
“This is definitely the biggest achievement I have ever had,” Hunter said. “I don’t think I have fully realized what has happened yet, but I do know that God has put me in the situation for a reason and I am very thankful for him. I wouldn’t be here without him. I am very excited to be able to perform in San Antonio.”
