For when I am weak, then I am strong

Katy and I went and saw Cody Johnson on Saturday night at Globe Life Field. I surprised her with tickets for her birthday, which was Nov. 2. We had a lot of fun.

It has been so busy. There is just one more week of school until Thanksgiving break. I am so ready to slow down just a little bit. We love Christmas. It is our favorite time of the year.

Things can get tough in life. We must always turn to Christ because he is our strength. He can help us through all the hard times that we have. Without Him, we are nothing.

This week’s Bible verse is 2 Corinthians 12:9-10. It says, “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weak-nesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

Thanksgiving is just two weeks away. I pray that you all are able to spend time with your family and friends. We all have so much to be thankful for. A lot of the time we can find ourselves complaining about things, but we have so much that we take for granted.

I pray that you will be a blessing to those around you this week. Give them a note of encouragement or a little gift of appreciation. A little act of kindness can go a long way and help someone make it through the day.

My prayer for us this week is that we will remember that Christ is there for us all the time and we just need to go to him. Until next week, make Him famous in all that you do!
