Merry Christmas!
I hope you all have a merry Christmas with your family and friends. This is my favorite time of the year. I love all the traditions such as making Santa cookies, making a gingerbread house, looking at Christmas lights, and just spending time with family and friends.
I can remember growing up with all of the excitement for Christmas; especially opening all the presents and waking up on Christmas morning to see what all Santa had brought me. It is truly the most wonderful time of the year.
Christmas is a time when we celebrate the birth of Jesus. Jesus died for us because of our sins and on the third day arose. He has given us the gift of eternal life.
I pray that this Christmas, you will ask Jesus to come into your life and become a following of Christ if you are not. It is the best gift that you will ever receive.
This Christmas we should be celebrating Jesus and be just as excited as a little child opening up their Christmas presents. Accepting Jesus Christ as your personal savior is the biggest decision we will ever make in life and it is also an amazing gift that we can receive.
This week’s Bible verse is Isaiah 9:6 It says, “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
This Christmas, I pray that we all make God our everything. He is truly all that we need in this life. There is nothing on the earth that can satisfy us for eternity. This earth is only our temporary home. We can spend eternity with Jesus if we decide to follow him.
My prayer for us this week is that we will celebrate the birth of Jesus and remember that He is the reason for the season. Until next week, make Him famous in all that you do!
