The City of Teague Board of Aldermen updated an ordinance concerning the one-way street at Teague Elementary School during their monthly meeting Monday, Dec. 16.

The board looked into an ordinance on one-way streets and alleys, specifically about North 10th Avenue, northbound from its intersection with Main Street to its intersection with Cypress Street during school hours.

“It is truly a complicated ordinance with the school calendar changing every year,” Mayor James Monks said. “The hours and holidays for the school vary throughout the year and from year to year.”
