Eleven Freestone County students competed in the 2025 Freestone County Fair Youth Commercial Heifer Contest on Saturday, Jan. 11. When all was said and done Grace Smith of Teague FFA won Grand Champion and Ivy Wren of Fairfield

4-H won Reserve Champion overall.

This was the third year for the commercial heifer contest to be held by the Freestone County Fair and Rodeo Association. Circle H Ag Services, LLC owned by Chris Hoag along with the Limestone County Go Texan committee cooked and donated the dinner.
