The Teague Lady Lions basketball team rebounded from a Jan. 7 road loss at Mexia with a 40-34 home win over Elkhart on Jan. 10. With the victory, Teague improved to 4-2 in the district and maintain third place behind Fairfield and Mexia in the District 20-3A Division 3 standings.
Teague outrebounded Elkhart 49-36 in the ballgame. The Lady Lions also shot higher percentages than Elkhart from the field (29%), the free throw line (43%), and from beyond the arc (12%) to secure the win. Teague was back on the court Tuesday night against district leader Fairfield (50). Results will be available in the next edition.
