The Teague Lions basketball team hosted the Fairfield Eagles last Tuesday, Jan. 14, and lost 73-45.
Fairfield took a big 26-11 lead in the first quarter and Teague was never able to recover. The Lions outscored the Eagles 14-10 in the second quarter to make it a 3625 game at halftime.
Fairfield came out hot in the third quarter and put 28 points on the board while holding Tegaue to nine to increase their lead to 64-34 going into the final quarter of play. The Lions outscored the Eagles 11-9 in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough as Fairfield took home the 73-45 road win.
