The Teague Lions traveled to Fairfield on Friday night, Feb. 7, to take on Fairfield and fell to the Eagles 64-42.
Teague trailed by onem 8-7, in the first quarter before Fairfield went on a 10-0 run to end the quarter to take an 18-7 lead and never look back. The Eagles outscored the Lions 13-7 in the second quarter to make it a 31-14 game at halftime.
Fairfield came out in the third quarter and put 18 points on the board as Teague scored 10 to increase their lead to 49-24 going into the final quarter of play. The Lions outscored the Eagles 1815 in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough as Fairfield took the home win 64-42.
Brayden Leija led the way for the Lions with 19 points. Carter Stacks added 5, Bryce Bates and Grayson Dancer 4, and Zak Leija, Jaxon Dillon, Clifford Coleman, Oscar Young, and James Ingram 2 each.
Teague wrapped-up its season on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at home against the Westwood Panthers.
