Teague Lady LionAlondra Aguilera has qualified for the Region 3 Powerlifting Meet, which will take place March 1 at Commerce High School.
Aguilera’s results in the second meet of the season qualified her as the 11th best in the region. Aguilera, competing in the 132-pound class, lifted 235 pounds in the squat, 110 in the bench press and 245 in the dead lift – for a total of 590 pounds.
Three Lions are ranked in the top 12 and have already qualified, although they have one more meet left before their regional meet.
Ny’land Coaster is ranked sixth in the 220-pound class. In his most recent competition, the Buffalo Invitational, he lifted 505 pounds in the squat, 330 pounds in the bench press and 340 pounds in the dead lift – for a total of 1,335 pounds.
Lucky Jones is ranked sixth in the 242-pound class. At the recent Buffalo meet he lifted 520 pounds in the squat, 315 in the bench press and 560 in the dead lift – for a total of 1,395 pounds.
Case Nichols is ranked fifth in the SHW class. At Buffalo he lifted 475 pounds in the squat, 315 in the bench press and 4w05 in the dead lift – for a total of 1,195 pounds. The boys regional meet is March 8 at West High School.
