Clyde Washsington Jr., 23, of Fairfield, was arrested on Wednesday, March 19, in connection with a shooting on South Bateman and Ike Street in Fairfield on Tuesday afternoon, March 18. The Fairfield Police Department made the arrest the following day with assistance of the Anderson County Sheriff’s Department.
Washington is charged with three counts of aggrav ated assault with a deadly weapon. As of press time he was still in custody at the Freestone County jail, with bond set at $500,000 per charge.
