Fairfield City Council approved the hiring of five employees during a special- called meeting Thursday, Aug. 8.
Ashley Parker and Clayton Roberts were hired for the Streets Department. Michael Tieman joins the Parks Department. Joining the staff on the Water Department is Kyler Mc-Clatchy. Jessica Growden was hired as a Public Information Officer.
According to City Secretary Misty Richardson, all five positions were vacant and needed to be filled. She noted there was not a meeting last month due to council members being out of town.
