Students will return to school Wednesday, Aug. 13, for the 20252026 Fairfield ISD, according to the recently released academic calendar.
Teachers along with other faculty and staff members will return on Tuesday, Aug. 5 and have six days of professional development before the first day of school. There will be a comp day for faculty/staff members Monday, Aug. 4, as long as they have their EduHero courses completed that were assigned over the summer.
There will be a school holiday on Labor Day, Sept. 1. The end of the first nine weeks is Thursday, Oct. 9.
There will be school holidays Friday, Oct. 10, and Monday, Oct. 13. There will be a staff development day Tuesday, Oct. 14, so no school for students. Elementary and Intermediate campuses will hold parent/teacher conferences on this day.
The second nine weeks will begin on Wednesday, Oct. 15. Thanksgiving break will be held Monday, Nov. 24 through Friday, Nov. 28. The end of the second nine weeks is on Thursday, Dec, 19, and will be an early release day. Christmas break is scheduled from Friday, Dec. 19, through Friday, Jan. 2.
There will be staff devel- opment days Monday, Jan. 5, and Tuesday, Jan. 6, so students will not have to attend classes. The third nine weeks will begin on Wednesday, Jan. 7. There will be no school on MLK Day on Monday, Jan. 19. Comp days are scheduled for Friday, Feb. 13, and Monday, Feb. 16, so there will be no school. The third nine weeks ends on Friday, March 13.
Spring Break is set for Monday, March 16, through Friday, March 20. There will be a staff development day on Monday, March 23, so students will not have to attend school. The fourth nine weeks begins on Tuesday, March 24. Friday, April 3, is Good Friday and a school holiday. Monday, April 6, is a comp day so there will be no school. The last day of school is set for Tuesday, May 19, and will be an early release day. Wednesday, May 20, is a staff development day for staff. Graduation for the Class of 2026 will be held on Friday, May 22.
