The Fairfield Eagles hosted Mexia last Tuesday, April 1, and defeated the Blackcats 10-0 to move to 12-2 overall and 7-0 in district play.
Fairfield took the home win 10-0 in five innings of play. The Eagles scored three runs in the first, one in the third, three in the fourth, and three in the fifth for the victory.
The Eagles had 12 hits during the game. Cal Wilson led the way with three hits as Angel Serrato, Dylon McGowan, Justin Johnson, and Gustavo Aguilera each had two hits, and Kohl Collins one hit. Mexia had three errors in the game as well.
