He is not here, for he has risen!

It is the busy time of the year again. There are only four and a half weeks of school left until summer time is here.

It is the busy time of the year again. There are only four and a half weeks of school left until summer time is here.

Easter is this Sunday, March 20. Even though I definitely do not deserve it, I am so thankful that God sent his one and only son Jesus, to the cross to die for my sins. However, he is not dead. He has risen! I am not perfect and I will never be. I am just a sinner, saved by grace. I pray that you will celebrate Easter with those you love and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.

This week’s Bible verse is Matthew 28:5-7. It says, “The angel said to the women, Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him. Now I have told you.”

A lot of times in life, we worry about things that we can not control. God will always be there for us. He will not leave us or forsake us. He will meet all of our needs in our life. We just have to slow down and go to him.

We need to go to God daily and thank him for all that he does for us. Without him, I would not be able to make it in this world that we live in. The things of the world are just temporary, but God is forever.

I have said it before, but we are not promised tomorrow on this earth, but we are promised tomorrow with our Father in Heaven. The biggest decision that we will ever make in our life is following the Lord as our personal Lord and Savior.

My prayer for us this week is that we will always turn to the Lord and not the things of this world. Until next week, make him famous in all that you do!
