Eagles go 2-0 on the week

The Fairfield Eagles defeated Buffalo and Elkhart this past week to move to 17-2 on the season and 9-0 in district play.

On Tuesday, April 8, Fairfield traveled to Buffalo and brought home a 12-0 win home over the Bison.

Fairfield had ten hits in the game. Angel Serrato, Dylon McGowan, and Kohn Collins each had two hits as Cal Wilson, Justin Johnson, Connor Colvert, and Nathan Richards each had one hit.

Gustavo Aguilera pitched for the Eagles and struck out eleven batters and only gave up one hit during the game. The Bison had four errors throughout the game.

Fairfield hosted Elkhart on Friday, April 11, and defeated the Elks 10-0.

The Eagles had five hits in the game. Johnson, Aguilera, Collins, Landon Cockerell, and Rustyn Taylor each had a hit for Fairfield in the game.

Colvert pitched for the Eagles and struck out eight batters and only gave up one hit. The Elks had four errors throughout the game.

Fairfield played Groesbeck on Tuesday night, April 15. The Eagles will host the Teague Lions on Thursday, April 17, before traveling to Mexia next Tuesday, April 22, for their final district game of the season before the playoffs.
