I hope everyone had a blessed Easter weekend! Even though we don’t deserve it, Christ loves us more than what we could ever comprehend.
May is almost here which means summer break is just around the corner. There are only about three and a half weeks of school left.
My kiddos took their STAAR Math test on Wednesday, April 23. We work hard all year long learning. No matter what, my students are more than a test score that is taken one day out of the year.
The Freestone County Go Texan committee will be hosting their 3rd Annual BBQ Cook Off this weekend, April 26-27. The Freestone Go Texan committee does a great job supporting our community and the youth.
The 103rd Annual Freestone County Fair and Rodeo is just about six weeks away. This year’s event will be held June 16-21 at the W.L. Moody Reunion Fairgrounds so make plans to attend. There are some great things happening at this year’s fair.
This week’s Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11-13. It says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
Life can get very busy and stressful at times. However, I always remind myself that God has a plan for me. It is so important for us to pray to God on a daily basis and to seek Him with all of our hearts. We don’t just need to go to him when we need him, but all the time.
We need to make it a priority that God is with us all the time. We don’t have to close our eyes to pray. I can pray driving down the road or while I’m walking down the hall at work. The Lord wants to hear from us and know what is on our hearts.
It is only with Christ, that we are able to make it through this crazy world that we live in. The things of this world are only temporary so make sure you have things right with the Lord.
My prayer for us this week is that we will call on the Lord and seek Him with all of our hearts because he has a plan for us. Until next week, make him famous in all that you do!
