The Fairfield Lady Eagles fell to the Grandview Lady Zebras 12-0 and 17-0 in the Area Championship on Friday, May 2, and Saturday, May 3. Fairfield ends the season with an overall record of 14-5.
“I am incredibly proud of my team and all they have accomplished this year,” Coach Bailey Jones said. “They demonstrated unwavering dedication, worked through challenges, and consistently rose to the occasion when it mattered most. Their commitment and resilience were truly inspiring. I couldn’t have asked for a better group to work with this season.”
The Lady Eagles won the district title this season with an overall record of 11-1.
Fairfield had one lone senior this season, Madelyn Morrison.
“Senior Madelyn Morrison has been an invaluable part of our team this season,” Jones said. “Her leadership, work ethic, and positive attitude set a strong example for her teammates both on and off the field. Madelyn consistently brought a sense of determination and composure that helped anchor the team through tough moments. Her presence will be deeply missed next year, not just for her athletic contributions, but for the character and spirit she brought to our program every day.”
