Young entrepreneurs enjoy annual Lemonade Day

A total of 20 lemonade stands were set up at the Freestone County Courthouse and around Fairfield for the annual Lemonade Day on Saturday, May 3. The event is hosted by the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.

When all was said and done, Sunshine Sips (Daisy Caro and Rodrigo Munoz) won Best Tasting. Le“MAN”ade Stand (Brody Escobar and Haedyn Munoz) took second place, and 3 Sour Kids (Zaraie Jimenez, Isabella DeLeon, and Damian DeLeon) won third place.

The Tiny, but Mighty Award went to Little Hands, Big Dream (Maci James Baggerly).

Sour Bros (Charles and Carter Fore) had the Crowd Favorite lemonade.

The Lemonade Legacy Award “Inspiring greatness with every cup” was The Sassy Sisters (Avalyn, Madilynn, and Ensley Diaz). This was their fifth year to participate.

The Freshest Dressed Crew on the Block “Best Dressed, Best Zest” went to Le“MAN”ade Stand (Brody Escobar and Haedyn Munoz). Bittersweet Treats (Victor Sanchez) took second place, and WD’s World Famous Traditional Lemonade (Walter Slay) received third place.

BitterSweet Treats (Victor Sanchez) won the Pucker Perfect Service Award - “Sweet Service Sour Power”. Dragonade Lemonade (Grace and Gianna DiGennero) earned second place and The Sassy Sisters Lemonade (Avalyn, Madilynn, and Ensley Diaz) third place.

Mt. Zion Church with Unique Treats won the Golden Picture Award “Going the extra mile in the golden standard of lemonade greatness”.
