The Smith with Brackens (SWB) Youth Foundation continues to support area school districts with their many needs each year. Every year, the SWB Youth Foundation donates snacks for students to enjoy while they take their state STAAR test in April and May.
The mission of the SWB Youth Foundation is to be champions for youth because they believe that youth are the champions of the future. They are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for the social and economically disadvantaged. Through their fundraising efforts, they support and administer programs in agriculture, education, character development, and health and fitness to empower the next generation.
Since 2013, the SWB Youth Foundation, with assistance of their sponsors, have provided over 25,000 students with backpacks, school supplies, and snacks. The organization has raised over $40,000 since 2013 for the STAAR Project.
