Wortham city staff members leaving their posts

Wortham City Secretary Kasi Wright and Utility and Court Clerk Lori Jones recently gave notice for their jobs at City Hall.

Wright, who has worked for the city 14 years, will leave May 28, and Jones, who has worked for the city 10 years, will depart June 6.

Both Wright and Jones agreed Wortham City Hall is a “good place to work,” even though the last year has been challenging. They have worked in temporary quarters while City Hall is being renovated inside and out, and there has been some political turmoil.
