Hudson Little, a freshman at Fairfield High School, competed at the state golf tournament at the Jimmy Clay Golf Course in Austin, TX on Monday, May 5, and Tuesday, May 6.
When all was said and done, his final score was a 160. He shot an 80 on both days. Overall, Little placed 29th out of 74 golfers.
According to Coach Kelly Ridge, the weather conditions were insane for the meet. On day one, he had a 2.5 hour delay with only 3.5 holes left to play. On day 2, the original tee times, due to weather, were 10:30. By the time he actually teed off, it was 2 p.m. Then, the sun came out, which made it extremely humid and hot for that round.
