Summer is arriving early this year, and we are fortunate to have excellent air conditioning at our senior center. This allows us to gather at Fellowship for enjoyable lunches and engaging events each month. It’s wonderful to see new members attending more frequently, and we will continue to serve delicious meals.
I want to give a strong shoutout to my dedicated volunteers and the drivers who deliver meals to our homebound members. A special acknowledgment goes to Steven Senter for stepping in and covering an extra route last week. Thank you to Sharon Russell for her fantastic selection of cookies for our morning group; they seem to disappear almost instantly! I also appreciate Debbie Tugwell for providing additional birthday plates, bowls, and cups for our ice cream floats.
Let’s not forget our anonymous sponsor who generously supplied the coffee liquid creamers. We will celebrate May birthdays, particularly Carolyn Williams, on Wednesday, May 28, with homemade vanilla Blue Bell ice cream and your choice of Coke or root beer float. This event coincides with Bingo, so mark your calendars for an afternoon of fun!
