Preston receives DAR Scholarship

Congratulations to Ember Preston, Wortham High School Class of 2025! She was recently awarded a $750.00 scholarship by Jonathan Hardin Chapter, NSDAR--Mexia, TX. Ember will pursue a degree in criminal justice, all while serving in the Texas Army National Guard. To quote a letter of recommendation received by the scholarship committee: “Ember Preston exhibits qualities such as honor, valor, and selfl essness in her life and her volunteer activities. She is a leader amongst her peers, and a role model for others.”
