Another busy week at the center with attendance picking up. Thanks to the great team at Fairfield Senior Center for continuing to provide us with tasty meals. Thanks to Sharon for restocking our cookie supply. A big shout out to Bill and Sue Allison and their sweet granddaughter, Kynlee Vaughn who assisted in delivering meals last Wednesday. Kynlee has been a very dedicated and helpful volunteer for the past several years for our homebound in Teague. We appreciate our volunteering and her winning smile. Thanks to Bill and Sue Allison and Steven Senter for taking extra days to deliver our Meals on Wheels in one of our sweet volunteer’s absence. Thanks to London for calling bingo last Wednesday. Everyone enjoys visiting with her youngest daughter, Kaehler, especially “Mr Carl”, he always has a surprise for her. She helps her mom deliver the meals and enjoys playing bingo. We see that she never fails to receive a well deserved treat. Thanks to London and her adorable four children for delivering meals on wheels last Friday. We all enjoyed a special and entertaining event from our Activity Director, Jennifer Sandlin last Friday after lunch. She not only decorated our dining room in a Memorial Day theme, she entertained us with a game of Trivia. Everyone received a gift for answering questions regarding Memorial Day facts. All of us were pleasantly surprised last week with two very special, tiny guests. Margarita Bell and her daughter Bobbie Marie Bell, dropped In with two adorable 6 week old black, pug puppies. Their names were Bruno and Archer. They stole the show. It was amazing that something that small could cause such a BIG explosion of laughter. They were of course adorable, and brought lots of smiles to everyone present.
Remember to pray for our Men and Women serving in the Military and for our Country and community. Pray also for those who have recently lost loved ones and for their family.
Hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable Memorial day weekend.
