Jeff Gonzales and Brian Bowers took their oath of office to serve another year on the Teague ISD school board during the monthly school board meeting on Tuesday evening, May 20. The two ran unopposed so there was no election held.

The organization of the board of trustees remained the same. Gonzales will serve as the President and Debra Lawrence continues the role as Vice President and Lovie Whyte serving as Secretary.

Wanda Forman Johnson, a 1971 graduate of Teague High School, presented a plaque to Teague ISD from the Booker T. Washington/JA Brooks (BTW-JAB) Alumni Association for all of their support since 2017. The plaque read, “Appreciation Award presented to Teague Independent School District in honor and respect for your many years of dedicated service and support to our organization. We greatly appreciate your continued support.”
