The Limestone County Fairgrounds will be herding in the excitement as they host the First Annual Limestone County Sheepdog Trials, presented by the Texas Sheep Dog Association (TSDA), on Saturday and Sunday, June 7–8.
Herding dogs from across Texas will gather to compete at one of the state’s premier livestock event facilities. The event will showcase skilled working dogs—primarily Border Collies—as they navigate a challenging herding course featuring Texas sheep.
Founded in 1963 in San Saba, the TSDA was established by livestock producers seeking to highlight the value of working dogs in agricultural operations. Today, the association continues that mission through competitions that test and celebrate the practical abilities of these canine athletes.
