A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the new Round Prairie Baptist Church building on Sunday, Aug. 25, following the morning worship service. Members of the church walked the site of the new building and prayed, as well.
“Round Prairie Baptist Church is excited to embark on the next step in our journey as a church family,” Lead Pastor Chris George said. “We are excited to be a part of that legacy while looking to the future.”
The church has deep roots being founded in 1883 in the Young community, just outside of Fairfield. Since moving to Fairfield in the late 1970s, God has continued to bless the work of the church, said Lead Pastor Chris George.
