Due to being closed on Memorial Day on Monday, May 26, we had a shorter week. While we are still missing some of our regulars, it’s great to see newcomers. We are thrilled to have a new sponsor for our Bingo event. A couple of weeks ago, an attractive and smart young lady named Brandi Rhodes walked through the front door of the center one morning. She introduced herself and offered to volunteer, requesting to help us with Bingo or anything else we might need assistance with. We quickly seized that opportunity. Brandi not only called, but also sponsored our Bingo game last Wednesday.
Brandi is a Hospice Care Consultant for “Hospice and Palliative Care” in Groesbeck. Everyone certainly enjoyed her presence; she fit right in and is a perfect match for our Center. We even sent her to Fairfield, as they could use someone like her. She did a fantastic job, brought some lovely gifts, and genuinely appreciated her time with us. Brandi was very personable and made everyone feel comfortable.
I also want to extend my gratitude to all my volunteers and drivers who stepped up during others’ absences and helped keep the center running smoothly. If you haven’t visited us yet, I strongly encourage you to come by. We offer a delicious lunch menu, along with extra treats in the morning and sometimes after lunch.
