New view-only policy for county auditor resolves hotly debated disagreement between department heads
The Freestone County Commissioners Court pondered the construction of a new roof on the courthouse at its Wednesday, May 21, meeting.
Precinct 3 Commissioner Lloyd Lane advised the court that a recent storm had confirmed concerns that the roof is failing and needs to be replaced soon. Water collecting on the roof had caused plaster to fall to the floor in the courthouse, he said.
