Before I begin, I would like everyone to know that I am not one for public speaking, so I apologize if I completely screw this up or bore you.
Now, with that out of the way, I would like to start by congratulating my fellow classmates and giving a warm welcome to everyone in attendance tonight. I would also like to extend my thanks to the school faculty, friends, and family who made all of this possible. It is a culmination of the hard work, dedication, and unwavering support of so many people who brought all of us here today to celebrate this monumental occasion.
This day brings about a myriad of emotions: some positive and some not so much. Some of you have been waiting and preparing for this day for a very long time, counting down each day, and for others, it snuck up on you too quickly for you to even grasp the special moments that make up our last year together. For me, it depended on the day. Some days, it felt like life was racing past me, and others, I was so tired of it all that I felt like it couldn’t go by fast enough.
