13 Acres Burn in Wortham — The Wortham Volunteer Fire Department worked a 13 acre grass fire on County Road 991 on Sunday, June 8. Assisting Wortham were Streetman Volunteer Fire Department, Teague Volunteer Fire Department, Tehuacana Volunteer Fire Department, Freestone County Emergency Management, and Texas Department of Emergency Management. “Great work by all departments in stopping this fire,” Wortham VFD said.
