Freestone County Auditor Karen Craddock resigned from her job soon after a recent showdown in a Commissioners Court meeting between her and other department heads.
88th District Court Judge Amy Ward advised the court during its meeting on June 4 that Craddock had given her a letter of resignation the previous week, and that the auditor’s last day at work would be Friday, June 6.
“So, it’s on a short time frame, but hopefully we can get through this and get a new one appointed,” Ward said.
