Beasley/Knight Annual Family Reunion

The descendants of J.R. and Susie Beasley/Brice and Nancy Knight met June 1, 2025 for the annual family reunion. Twenty-three members and guests met at Freestone Community Center to celebrate, reminisce, remember family members who are no longer here, and enjoy visiting with each other. Pat Chappell, at 90 years old, was the oldest family member attending. Avery Beasley (4 years) was the youngest. Three family members had passed away since the last reunion, Evaughn Cox, Rex Beasley and Jackie Beasley. Pictures of Evaughn, Rex and Jackie were placed on the sign-in table in their memory. Thank you to those who attend and keep this family tradition each year. Although the number of family members attending was lower than last year, all enjoyed the food and fellowship as well as the awarding of door prizes. Family members are encouraged to mark their calendars for next year’s reunion, which will be held the first Sunday in June 2026. Family members present voted to move the meeting place next year to Fairfield at Ward Prairie Baptist Church fellowship hall, pending approval of the church members.
