There’s no denying it this past week was incredibly wet! My drivers know firsthand what it means to deliver in challenging conditions. Rain or shine, snow or extreme heat, the meals must go on. I want to extend a strong thank you to my dedicated drivers for going above and beyond last week, not just in delivering extra meals, but in facing extreme weather head-on.
A special shout-out goes to Vicki Vaughn for stepping up to assist her mother, Sue Allison, in meal delivery. Vicki’s support for our center is commendable. Through her business at Withrow Furniture, she has generously contributed numerous times, helping us sponsor vital events and activities. She is a true gem and a significant asset to our community.
It was great to see Hardy and Patsy Henderson back in the dining room, and I was particularly pleased to see Scott and Debbie Holland. Scott’s willingness to help out without being asked serving in the dining room and cleaning up in the kitchen— deserves recognition.
