Easter was found in a vacant lot after being hit by a car. She was lying in the pouring rain for the entire day. Members of the city council contacted me to help with her rescue. She suffered from a fractured pelvis, which required surgery and eventually six weeks of rehabilitation. Thayla and the volunteers at Bi-Stone Rescue started water therapy to aid in her recovery, as she was unable to walk at the time. Easter needed a total of six weeks of rest to support her healing and recovery. Once she regained her strength, we began rehabilitation through water therapy. It was a challenging process, but thankfully, with a lot of prayer and therapy, she came through it successfully! We are so thankful for the improvements she has made in her recovery. Easter is a loving and gentle dog who enjoys her treats. She may take some time to warm up to new people, but given all that she’s been through, who could blame her? She is very obedient and does well on a leash. Easter also loves playing in our kitty pool and has formed a strong bond with her best friend, Maxi. While they share a special friendship, she gets along well with all the other dogs at the kennel. There’s no doubt that Easter would thrive in a one-on-one environment. If you have room in your heart for an adorable companion, Easter is the perfect match for you—and she hopes that you are the right match for her.
