This past week was a very busy, but fun week at the 2025 Freestone County Fair. The new facilities are awesome. It was the 103rd year of the Freestone County Fair & Rodeo. The board of directors did an outstanding job planning it. Thank you Jody Bodine, Todd Craig, Brent Holmes, Michelle Welch, Will Steen, Keith Brockman, Marla Lookabill, Clint Fryer, and Collin Puckett for organizing a great week. The Mexia Rodeo will be held this Thursday - Saturday, June 26-28. The 95th Annual Teague 4th of July Rodeo begins next Thursday, July 3, and continues through Saturday night, July 5. This is an amazing rodeo that Katy and I have both been attending since we were born. Make sure to stop by the concession stand and get one of those world famous chili dogs.
Katy and I hope that everyone has a safe 4th of July this year. Summer is flying by way too fast. School will be starting again before we know it.
