Although it was a short agenda for a special called City of Teague Board of Aldermen meeting, there were heated discussions in the nearly two and a halfhour meeting on Wednesday night, July 2.
Teague Police Chief Dewayne Philpott spoke about the home located at 620 Elm St. during a public hearing so the board could determine if the property is dilapidated, substandard, or unfit for human habitation and poses a hazard to the public health, safety, and welfare under Section 214.001 of the Texas Local Government Code.
