The Special Session is underway, and I’m back in Austin doing what you elected me to do: show up, stand firm, keep you informed, and get results.
Governor Abbott called this Special Session to address some of the most pressing issues facing our state, and I’m proud to work alongside him. At the top of the list is providing real help to our neighbors in the Hill Country who are recovering from the devastating floods earlier this month. That includes strengthening early warning systems, improving emergency communications, providing relief for families, and making sure local governments get the resources they need to rebuild and prepare for the future.
My husband Will and I are continuing to pray for the families, first responders, and communities impacted by these floods, and we invite you to join us in lifting them up.
