FISD Approves Pay Raises

The Fairfield ISD school board approved pay raises for employees July 14 The state law gives teachers with three and four years of experience a $4,000 pay raise and teachers with five and more years of experience an $8,000 pay raise. FISD approved the scheduled teacher step raise before adding the required state amount.

The board also approved giving this pay raise to instructional coaches, counselors, librarians, and nurses although the state law does not require it.

The amounts for salary increases in other positions varied based on experience and market comparison for similar roles and positions in comparably sized districts.
