Don’t be anxious about anything

It’s getting very busy again. I feel like there isn’t enough time in the day sometimes.

It’s getting very busy again. I feel like there isn’t enough time in the day sometimes.

District play in volleyball begins this Friday, Sept. 13, as the Fairfield Lady Eagles travel to Teague to take on the Lady Lions. Friday is also Fairfield’s Homecoming football game against Brownsboro. Teague will be celebrating Homecoming the weekend of Oct. 18.

Santa will be coming to Fairfield on Saturday, Sept. 28, for the annual Breakfast with Santa hosted by the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce. The event will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Green Barn.

This week’s Bible verse is Philippians 4:6-7. It says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

So many times in life we stress out about things. I believe most people stress out at work with all of their many duties, and many stress about their finances with all of the price increases on goods. We need to not be anxious and worry about these things. We need to turn to God because he will provide for us.

Life has been stressful here lately. This past week during my conference, I finally just stopped for a few minutes and prayed and turned on some worship music to listen to as I worked. I felt so much at peace and wasn’t worried about everything like I was minutes before.

A lot of times we just need to let go and let God do his thing. He will give us the strength that we need to make it through each day. I am so thankful for God and his love for me. It is only by my faith in Him through prayer and His word that I am able to make it in the chaotic world that we live in.

My prayer for us this week is that we will not be anxious, but we will pray to God daily because he will provide our needs for us. Until next week, make Him famous in all that you do!
