All cities in the Bi-Stone Counties saw monthly sales tax revenue rise in July compared to the same month in 2024, except for Mexia.
In Limestone County, Mexia’s sales tax revenue decreased from $297,095 to $285,361, a drop of 3.94%, according to the Texas State Comptroller. Year to date collections for 2025 were $2.1 million, a decrease of 2.61% compared to 2024.
Groesbeck collected $107,593, compared to $93,299l in 2024, an increase of 15.32%. Year to date collections were $763,671, a jump of 10.52%.
